Subject: GT Dems Adopt-A-Highway sessions in 2010Dear GT Dems, Our first GT Dems Adopt-A-Highway session in 2010 will be 9:30 a.m.,Saturday, May 1, 2010. The Adopt-A-Highway program helps stretch limitedstate resources while accomplishing the important task of keeping Michiganhighways clean. We will meet at the parking lot of the strip mall near NorthwesternMichigan College that has the Omelette Shoppe on US-31 at 9:30 a.m., andcar pool to our Adopt-A-Highway location on US-31 north of Traverse Cityby the Resort. Reflective vests, bags, and water will be provided. You may wishto bring gloves. This is always a grand event. Everyone will have a lot offun. This should take just a few hours. The Grand Traverse County Democrats will be volunteering at the State Theatre on the first Monday of every month. There are two shifts: 2:30 P.M. - 5:00 P.M. and 4:45 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Precinct delegates and partisan, non-partisan candidates (other than judicial candidates) file nominating petitions (or fees if applicable) and an Affidavit of Identity for the August primary with their township, city, or county clerk by 4:00 p.m.

The Grand Traverse County Demoratic Party will hold its monthly Executive Board meeting on Wednesday, May 12, 2010 at 6:00 P.M. at the MEA Office - 1745 Barlow Street - Traverse City. All interested Democrats are welcome to attend.
